Newline Responsible Gaming Policy
How Newline helps Users keep gambling enjoyable, the tools available inside the platform and the recognised support services we point people to when help is needed.
Need help right now? If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, talk to Newline support 24/7 inside the app, write to support@Newline.bet, or contact a recognised support service such as GamCare, Gambling Therapy or Gamblers Anonymous — full details in Section 6 of this policy.

1. Why This Policy Exists
For most adults, gambling is a leisure activity — paid entertainment alongside other things they enjoy, kept within personal limits. For a smaller group of people, it can become harmful: more time and money than intended, chasing losses, drift into other parts of life. Newline takes the difference seriously and treats player protection as part of running the platform rather than a footnote.
This Responsible Gaming Policy describes the steps we take to help Users keep gambling under control: the in-account tools available to anyone at any time, the recognised independent services we direct people to when help is needed, and the measures we apply to keep the platform off limits to under-18s. It complements the Terms & Conditions and the Privacy Policy and applies to every Newline surface — the website, the Android and iOS mobile apps, and the macOS desktop app.
2. Our Commitments to You
The Operator commits to:
- Provide a fair and transparent gaming environment for adult Users.
- Make practical control tools available so any User can set limits and pause or stop playing at any time.
- Identify and respond to early signs of problem gambling through monitoring and proactive support.
- Prevent under-18s from registering or playing on the platform.
- Direct Users who need help to recognised, independent support organisations.
- Train customer support and compliance staff to handle responsible-gaming concerns with care, confidentiality and without judgement.
3. Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling does not look the same for everyone, and it doesn't always start with large losses. The patterns below are widely recognised as warning signs and worth checking against your own behaviour from time to time:
- Spending more time or money on gambling than you originally planned.
- Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes or session length to try to "win back" what you've lost.
- Borrowing money to gamble, or feeling that you need to gamble to deal with money worries.
- Hiding the extent of your gambling from family, friends or partners.
- Feeling restless, irritable or anxious when you can't gamble.
- Letting gambling interfere with work, study, sleep, meals, family time or other commitments.
- Using gambling as an escape from stress, low mood, loneliness or other difficult feelings.
- Trying to cut down or stop and finding that you can't.
Recognising one or more of these patterns in yourself does not automatically mean you have a gambling disorder, but it is a good reason to pause, consider activating one of the tools in Section 4, and — if appropriate — speak to one of the support services in Section 6. If you are concerned about someone else's gambling, the same support services offer guidance for friends and family members, not only for the person who plays.
4. Tools Inside Your Account
Several tools are built into Newline to help you keep gambling within personal limits. They live in the Responsible Gaming section of your Account settings, accessible after you log in.
| Tool | What It Does | How to Use It |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit limits | Cap the total you can deposit per day, per week or per month. Once the cap is reached, no further deposits go through until the period resets. | Set in Account → Responsible Gaming. Tightening a limit takes effect immediately; loosening it is subject to a cooling-off delay. |
| Cooling-off period | A short pause during which you cannot deposit or place bets. The Account stays otherwise open and reopens automatically at the end of the period. | Activate in Account → Responsible Gaming or by contacting support. |
| Self-exclusion | A formal commitment to stop using the Account for a defined period. The Account is locked, login is blocked and re-registration with the same details is refused. | Activate in Account → Responsible Gaming. Minimum period: 6 months. Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the minimum expires. |
| Account closure | Permanent closure of the Account. Remaining real-money balance is refunded to the original deposit method. | Use the closure option in Account settings or write to support@Newline.bet. |
| Bonus opt-out | Stop receiving bonus offers and marketing communications while keeping the Account active. | Adjust in your communication preferences and disable push notifications. |
Limits are set in your Account currency (INR, USD, EUR or any of the other supported currencies). Tightening — for example, lowering a daily deposit cap — takes effect immediately. Loosening or removing a limit is subject to a cooling-off delay before the change takes effect, so that decisions made in the heat of the moment do not undo earlier protections.
5. Keeping the Platform Adults-Only
Newline is strictly for adults. The minimum age to register and play is 18 years old, or higher where local law sets a higher age. The Operator takes this requirement seriously and applies the following measures:
- Age confirmation as part of the registration form, where the User explicitly confirms they are 18 or older.
- KYC verification at first withdrawal and at other defined trigger points (see the Terms & Conditions for full details).
- Monitoring of registration patterns, payment methods and behavioural signals for indications of underage use.
- Immediate closure of any Account found to belong to an underage user, with bets voided and balances refunded to source.
If you are an adult and a minor lives in your household, you can reduce the risk of access to gambling content by keeping your devices locked, not saving Newline credentials in shared browsers, and using parental control features available on your operating system. Tools such as Net Nanny, Qustodio and the parental controls built into iOS Family Sharing and Android Family Link can block gambling sites and apps at the device level.
If you suspect that a minor has accessed Newline through your Account or another route, please contact support@Newline.bet immediately so the Operator can investigate and close any affected Account.
6. Independent Support Services
If gambling is causing harm to you or someone close to you, free and confidential help is available from independent organisations that specialise in problem-gambling support. Newline encourages Users to contact one of the recognised services below — they offer support that goes well beyond what an operator can provide, including counselling, peer support and treatment referrals.
| Organisation | What They Offer | Where to Find Them |
|---|---|---|
| GamCare | Free information, counselling and treatment for anyone affected by problem gambling, including a national helpline and live chat. UK-based, with international reach. | gamcare.org.uk |
| Gambling Therapy | Free, multilingual online support service offering practical advice and emotional support to people affected by problem gambling worldwide. | gamblingtherapy.org |
| Gamblers Anonymous | An international fellowship of men and women who share their experience to help themselves and others recover from a gambling problem. Local meetings in many countries. | gamblersanonymous.org |
These services are independent of Newline and free of charge. Anything you discuss with them is confidential. If you are not in immediate distress but want to start understanding your relationship with gambling, the websites above include self-assessment tools, written guides and forums you can use anonymously.
If you are in crisis, contact your country's general mental-health helpline or visit a healthcare professional in addition to gambling-specific services. A general practitioner is a good first point of contact in most healthcare systems and can refer you to specialist support.
7. Habits That Keep Play Healthy
Responsible gaming is a shared effort between the Operator and the User. Newline commits to providing tools and support; Users commit to using the platform in a balanced way. To keep gambling enjoyable and within control, we encourage every User to:
- Treat gambling as paid entertainment, not as a way to make money.
- Set a budget you can comfortably afford to lose before each session — and stop when that budget is reached.
- Set time limits as well as money limits — long sessions cause fatigue and worse decisions.
- Never gamble with money you need for essentials like rent, bills, food or family obligations.
- Never borrow money to gamble, and never gamble to recover losses.
- Take regular breaks during a session and full days off between sessions.
- Avoid gambling when stressed, upset, intoxicated or otherwise not in a clear state of mind.
- Be honest with yourself and with the people close to you about how much time and money you spend gambling.
- Use the deposit-limit and self-exclusion tools described in Section 4 the moment you notice your behaviour drifting outside the limits you set.
8. How We Look Out for Users
The Operator monitors aggregate platform activity to identify patterns that may indicate potential harm. Where automated systems or staff observations suggest a User may be at risk, the Operator may:
- Send a check-in message asking how the User is feeling and reminding them of the available tools.
- Suggest activating deposit limits, taking a cooling-off period, or reading this Responsible Gaming Policy.
- Where appropriate, restrict bonus offers and marketing communications.
- Where there is significant concern, request a conversation with the customer support team or temporarily restrict deposits pending that conversation.
Monitoring is conducted with respect for User privacy and in line with the Privacy Policy. Engagement from the responsible-gaming team is intended to be supportive rather than punitive — a User who responds to a check-in is not penalised for any answer they give. The goal is to make it easier to step back if needed and to make sure the User is aware of the help available.
9. Local Law Considerations
Local law in some jurisdictions imposes specific responsible-gaming requirements — minimum age, mandatory limits, reality checks, self-exclusion registers maintained by the regulator, or restrictions on bonus offers to vulnerable users. Where local law applies to a User's jurisdiction, the Operator complies with that law in addition to this policy. If the requirements differ, the stricter standard prevails.
Users are responsible for being aware of the legal status of online gambling in their own jurisdiction. The Operator does not provide legal advice. Where necessary, please consult a qualified local lawyer or your country's gaming regulator.
